CA 19-9 is a tumor marker, which is also known as sialyl-LewisA and is attached to O-glycans on the surface of cells. Apart from being a pancreatic and gastrointestinal cancer marker, CA 19-9 is also used as an indicator for pancreatitis, cirrhosis and disease of the bile ducts

Part pure; Low cross contamination for CA 125, CA 15-3, CA 72-4, CEA, AFP and Ferritin is observed and cross contaminants are reported as activity of cross contaminants/activity of CA 19-9 in U/ml. The passing criteria is < 25 %, however, YBL tries to restrict the levels to < 10 % for cross contamination
